This seat. Doesn’t fold up, very tiny cubby, and I don’t fit, and I’m only six feet tall. Even for $32k, this would not be worth it.
This was much nicer, but they wouldn't let me test drive it.

They’re better than the jump seats in my B3000 (Ford Ranger).
By that I mean that they’re a lot safer. My kids were occasional passengers in these seats for years.

I walked in and told them I wasn't buying. It still had all the plastic on the seats. It was very nice, but a ZR2 is probably more than I need.

Not only that, but extended cabs look downright silly to me these days. Regular cab or Quad/Crew, anything in between just seems odd.

The big thing with an extended cab is having room to recline, and a bit of lockable storage, though. You don't actually use the seat as a seat...

Extended cabs are perfect for me, because they have dog seating.

My work has an F-750 dump truck with a child seat anchor. We keep trying to get the admin to bring her daughter in so we can drive her around in it,

They weren’t as bad as they look as long as it was kids back there. When they got bigger, there was some danger of bonking heads on the windows, but they knew what to watch for. A lack of space in the truck was one of the reasons I bought my WRX.

This picture brings me mixed memories.
I occasionally rode on the jump seats on Dad’s B3000 way back when, and they seemed pretty awful to sit on even then.

When I was a kid it was an mid 80s Toyota 4x4 with a 2x6 wood plank for the rear seat. Looked like the below pic but blue and completely beat.

Lol your not supposed to actually use jumpseats, what you think they were for besides holding shit? Ever see the 90° ones made out of cardboard and like 1 cm of cloth they used to put in the trucks in this segment?

LOL. I saw some guy on another site a while back moaning about how hard it was for him to find cars that fit. in his words, he was a “bit tall” at 6' 9". I was like, “no, dude, you’re almost a foot taller than the average American man.”
jimz

not to mention, if the truck is yours the chances you’ll be sitting in your own back seat are pretty slim.

I still think it’s good to try sitting back there once . I tried squeezing into the backseat of my Fiat 500 just to see if I could. And since buying the car I’ve actually sat back there twice for rides home from a bar.
My comment was just to remark on the fact that CB is "only" taller than like 75% of adult men. If you're 6 feet tall, you're tall. There's no only.

I’d really want to see them offer the ZR2 suspension with out the super aggressive tires, front and rear end. Supposedly the Multimatic units are great on road as well as off so the ZR2 is probably the best riding Colorado but gets horrid mpg. Give us a package that gets the best riding Colorado while giving back the mpg or it can be seen as a cheaper starting point for off-roaders intending on mods.

I know I'm above the statistical Canadian average but I still feel short sometimes.

That suspension is likely the most expensive part of that equation, and selling leg day skippers would not go over well.

The fact that they have this technology in a truck that can be had close to 40k new seems like it shouldn’t be that crazy expensive. The last production Chevrolet to have it was the limited volume Camaro Z28 that retailed over 60k I thought, for comparison anyway

I’m not complaining about being 5'6, even if it makes it harder to see at concerts. I haven't been on a plane in over a decade anyway.

When I test drove a Canyon, I couldn't sit behind myself! GM engineered the passenger side to support a child car seat, imagine how that would fit.
